How did you get into photography?
I always loved visual arts growing up but it wasn’t until I was in high school that I started to dabble into photography. I started with photo manipulation with Gimp and Photoshop in my high school photography classes. I was lucky enough to have a high school which had a dark room so we developed and processed our own film and prints. I started my real, first gig in 2011 photographing a small wedding and my friend’s friend’s high school graduation. I started sharing my photographs online on Flickr, DailyBooth and Tumblr— people seemed to like them so I did more research on how to better myself and took lots and lots of photos to practice.
A couple years later, I found my real niche in portrait work and loved it a lot. I focused my energy on bettering my skills in portrait work and then a few years after fell in love with capturing authentic love stories of people in love.
